Blood Pressure Diary  ·  Last updated: May 6, 2025

✅ Blood Pressure Diary stores all your health data exclusively on your device. We have no servers that receive or store your blood pressure readings. Your data is never transmitted, sold, or shared with anyone.

1. Introduction

Blood Pressure Diary ("the App", "we", "us", "our") is a personal health tracking application developed by Boštjan Žagar, an independent software developer based in Slovenia. This Privacy Policy describes how the App handles information when you use it on your device.

By installing or using Blood Pressure Diary, you acknowledge and agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please discontinue use of the App.

This policy applies to the Blood Pressure Diary web application available at blood-pressure-tracker-diary.replit.app and to the Android application published on Google Play under the package name com.bostjanzagar.bloodpressurediary.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Health data (stored locally only — never transmitted)

When you use Blood Pressure Diary, you may enter the following information:

All of this data is stored exclusively in your device's local IndexedDB database. The App does not transmit this information to any server, cloud service, or third party under any circumstances. We do not have access to your health data.

2.2 Automatically collected information

The App itself does not collect any automatically generated data such as usage analytics, crash reports, device identifiers, location data, or browsing history. The App has no analytics SDK and makes no telemetry requests.

2.3 Advertising data (Google AdSense)

Blood Pressure Diary displays advertisements served by Google AdSense (publisher ID: ca-pub-3525611924348372). Google AdSense may use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to collect data about your browsing activity across websites in order to serve personalized advertisements. This data collection is governed entirely by Google's own privacy policy and terms of service.

You can learn more about how Google uses data for advertising at policies.google.com/technologies/ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting google.com/settings/ads.

3. How We Use Information

Your health data — blood pressure readings, pulse, notes, and age — is used exclusively by the App running on your device to provide the following features:

We do not process, analyze, or access your health data. All computations are performed locally in your browser or on your device.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in your device's IndexedDB database, which is a browser-native storage system. IndexedDB storage is sandboxed to the App's origin (blood-pressure-tracker-diary.replit.app) and is inaccessible to other websites or applications.

Data persistence: Your data persists across sessions and app updates as long as you do not clear your browser's site data or uninstall the app. The App does not automatically delete your data.

Data deletion: You can delete individual readings using the History page. Clearing your browser's site data for the App's domain, or uninstalling the App, will permanently delete all stored health records. This action is irreversible.

Data backup: Because your data is stored only on your device, we strongly recommend regularly exporting your readings as a PDF report using the History page. This provides a backup in case you switch devices, reset your browser, or uninstall the App.

Security: The security of your data depends on the security settings of your device and browser. We recommend keeping your device's operating system and browser up to date, using a device lock screen, and not using the App on shared or public devices.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal health data with any third party. There are no circumstances under which your blood pressure readings are transmitted outside of your device.

The only third-party service integrated into the App is Google AdSense for advertising, as described in Section 2.3. Google's data collection through AdSense is independent of your health data and subject to Google's own privacy policy.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Blood Pressure Diary itself does not use cookies. The App uses IndexedDB for data storage and localStorage for preferences — these are not cookies and are not accessible by third-party scripts.

Google AdSense, which serves advertisements in the App, may set cookies on your device. These cookies are used by Google to serve relevant advertisements based on your interests and browsing history. You can manage cookie settings through your browser's privacy settings.

Residents of the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, and other regions with specific cookie consent requirements may see a consent prompt managed by Google before personalized ads are served.

7. Your Rights

Because Blood Pressure Diary does not transmit or store your health data on any server, your data rights are primarily exercised directly on your device:

If you have questions about your rights in relation to Google's data collection through AdSense, please refer to Google's Privacy Policy.

8. Children's Privacy

Blood Pressure Diary is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App is designed for adults who wish to monitor their blood pressure for personal health management purposes.

If you believe that a child under 13 has used the App and stored health data, you can delete that data by clearing the App's site data in the browser settings on the relevant device.

9. Medical Disclaimer

Blood Pressure Diary is a personal tracking tool and is not a medical device, diagnostic tool, or medical software. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations.

The blood pressure category classifications shown in the App are based on widely published guidelines (WHO, ACC/AHA) and are provided for informational purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional medical assessment. Individual circumstances, age, health conditions, and medications can all affect what constitutes a concerning blood pressure reading.

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding your blood pressure and cardiovascular health. If you experience symptoms such as severe headache, chest pain, shortness of breath, or vision changes in combination with high blood pressure readings, seek emergency medical care immediately.

10. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App or applicable law. Any changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
